Hello, my dear kids!
How are you?
We are all faced with a new situation. Interesting and challenging, isn't it?
Do you remember our first class this year ?
We discussed why we are at school . You can have a look into your notebook to remind yourself.
We agreed that we are here to learn and acquire knowledge, learn new skills, develop emotional and social intelligence, express our potentials…
In a word we are here to decide who we are, and what we want to be so we can live happy and successful life….OR not…
This situation can be an excellent life experience which can teach us to be stronger and better personalities.
As you know Italy is hit by coronavirus harder than any other country in Europe. I found on FB a post of Alida Parkes, a lady from Italy:
Let's make this message go viral, send it to everyone. Let's learn to understand that this is a fight against our habits and not a virus. This is an opportunity to turn an emergency into a solidarity contest. Let's change the way of view and thinking. I'm no longer " I'm afraid of contagion " or " I don't care about the contagion ", but I'm the one who preserves the other. I worry about you. I keep my distance for you. I wash my hands for you. I give up that trip for you. I'm not going to the concert for you. I don't go to the mall for you. For you. For you being inside an ICU room. To you who are old and fragile, but whose life is worth as much as mine. For you struggling with cancer and you can't struggle with it too. Please let's look up. I hope that in #ItaliaNonsiferma solidarity. Everything else doesn't matter.
