Information about self evaluation

Dear participants in the seminar,

Through the forum I´ve known that in relation to the self-evaluation exercises of the first two sections of the civil part, you´ve found difficulties in understanding some of the questions. In relation to it (and in my condition of author of this part) I´d like to thank you for the comments and make this problem known, as for me it´s been impossible to check it due to the fact that the materials were drafted in Spanish and then translated into Croatian. To try to solve the problem and as far as my work is concerned, I´ve re-checked all again (I did it when I drafted the materials which were sent for translation with time) and in particular the self-evaluation questions in my version (the Spanish one). After it (and in the Spanish version) I´ve not been able to find problems of understanding the questions or related to the possibility of finding the correct answers in the text. In any case, I´d like to point out that these topics are not easy and that EU Law language is quite special and in some cases the meaning given to the words included in a text can be different from the use of the words in regular language and even the juridical use of them in our national laws (a great effort is going on at European level in training us and all legal professionals in the legal language of the EU). In any case I´d like to thank you again for the comments and offer all my help in solving the problems arisen maybe through the use of other languages (such as English). In addition to that, I offer you the possibility of sending me e-mails for any comment or problems of understanding you could have (you have my contact in the presentation of the seminar and I also include it at the bottom of this comment).  Finally I´d like to apologise for not being able to contact you in Croatian. BR. Francisco Puig ( fp.puig@poderjudicial.es )

Dear participants, Dragi polaznici,

As advisor in charge of the implementation of the European project where the on line course is based, I fully agree with our colleague Francisco Puig, expressing my gratitude for your comments, about possible deficiencies of the course.  As you know, this is the first on line course that Judicial Academy is implementing, and thus it is a pilot course.  We need your opinion, assess and support, and if you express your complaints or worries as soon as you perceive them, we can try to solve them so that it will be useful for you.  Therefore, feel free to send to us your comments when you feel something is not working, though at the end of the course you will also have the occasion to do it.

Relating to the self-evaluation questionnaires, and just in case there should be any problem with translation, we will try to upgrade it for the next module, revising translations to be sure the legal language is completely correct.  I think translators are doing a great work, but as Mr Puig says, EU Law language is quite special and sometimes is difficult to find the exact expression in other language, even for a legal professional.  In any case, I would like to apologize for any possible deficiency in the course, but learning to avoid these defects have to be the lesson we should learn for the future of online activities.

Oprostite, htio bih pisati hrvatski, ali moja razina nije još dovoljno dobra!
